Chevron Pumps Up Oil Production in Venezuela
Chevron has announced plans to significantly increase its oil production in Venezuela over the next five years. The company will invest $7 billion in the expansion, which is expected to more than double its current production levels.
The investment will support low-cost oil growth and energy supply, according to Chevron CEO Mike Wirth. He noted that this move will also create long-term value for the company.
The expansion is seen as a major win for the Trump Administration, although no further details on the political implications were provided.
