Chevron Stock Soars on Geopolitical Catalysts and Robust Earnings

Chevron stock rallied by 2.8% in morning trading to reach $207.57 following US military forces striking Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz on August 30, 2026.

The attack triggered a sharp surge in global oil prices, which sent energy equities sharply higher, with WTI and Brent crude each jumping roughly 3.5% in premarket trading.

This boost directly benefited the revenue outlook for integrated oil majors like Chevron, which has seen its own revenue increase due to rising oil prices.

The company's strong fundamental story is also being driven by a transformative new Venezuelan supply agreement with the US, under which the US will receive 55% of net production from 17 oil fields holding 65 billion barrels of proven reserves.
