Chevron Strikes Oil and Gas Condensate Discovery in Angola
Chevron has made a significant oil and gas condensate discovery in Block 0 off the coast of Angola, with over 300 feet of net pay identified.
The 105-4X well, located in the Lower Congo basin, revealed a hydrocarbon column of more than 2,000 feet within the main Pinda reservoir.
Chevron's Vice President of Exploration, Kevin McLachlan, stated that this find marks a significant achievement in the firm's over seven decades of operations in Angola.
The company plans to evaluate the discovery for a possible tie-back to existing nearby facilities, which could offer a cost-effective path to production.
