Chevron's shares fell by approximately 2.6% to $212.115 on Wednesday, according to TradingView.

The decline comes as Reuters reported that Chevron has secured roughly one-fifth of its targeted LNG supply portfolio through third-party contracts rather than relying solely on its own production.

Chevron aims to reach 20 million metric tons of annual LNG supply capacity, with about 16 million tons coming from company-linked projects and four million secured from U.S. Gulf Coast producers.
