Cheyenne Resident Seeks Court Ruling on Microsoft Data Center Annexation

Cheyenne resident Heather Madrid Donis has petitioned the court to overturn a Microsoft data center annexation and nullify the council's decision to seek judicial review on a citizen-led petition.

The annexation, which was approved by the Cheyenne City Council last year, allowed for the construction of multiple large-scale data centers. However, Donis has been vocal in her opposition to the project, attending numerous city council meetings to express her concerns.

According to the court documents, Donis argues that the annexation was improperly approved and that the council's decision to seek judicial review on the citizen-led petition is invalid. She claims that the annexation process was not properly followed and that the council failed to adequately notify residents of the potential impacts of the data centers.
