Christodoulides Meets with Chevron's BAEC Chief in New York
The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, met with Javier la Rosa, the head of Base Assets and Emerging Countries (BAEC) at Chevron, in New York on September 22, 2026. The meeting was attended by Cyprus' Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, and Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
The discussion focused on the current situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and broader Middle East, with a shared emphasis on the region's importance for political and energy developments. Christodoulides stressed the need to expedite cooperation efforts between Cyprus and Chevron.
