Chrome Tabs Now Remember Where You Left Off
Google is introducing several new features to its Chrome browser that aim to make it easier for users to research and study complex topics. The cross-device tab switching feature will now remember where a user left off on a webpage, eliminating the need to manually find the exact spot after switching devices.
The update also preserves partially filled-out forms, allowing users to complete them on their desktop if they started on their mobile device or vice versa.
Gemini in Chrome is also getting an upgrade. The AI-powered tool will now be able to analyze and summarize documents, webpages, and other types of media beyond just YouTube videos and podcasts, including those hosted outside of these platforms.
The expanded Gemini capabilities include identifying key takeaways, finding specific information, or clarifying confusing moments for almost any audio or video file once it has been played through. Additionally, the tool can generate interactive quizzes based on the content displayed on an open tab, providing another way to test knowledge on subjects outside of just studying notes and materials.
