Chrome Update Brings Scroll Sync and Student-Friendly Features

Google has released an update for Chrome that brings some useful features to its users. One of the new additions is the ability to synchronize the scroll position on a webpage across devices, making it easier to pick up where you left off. This feature allows users to access pages on other devices with their Google account, and will even include the scroll position so you don't have to navigate back to where you were.

Another new feature is Gemini's expanded functions in Chrome. Users can now get summaries of videos or podcasts they've watched or listened to outside of YouTube, as well as create quizzes based on the content of their tabs. These features are aimed at students who can use them to double-check notes and learn more about what they're studying.

The update also includes a share function that allows users to send webpages from one device to another. When sending a webpage from your phone to a desktop, it will open as a new tab in Chrome, while the reverse action will prompt a notification on your laptop. However, it seems that this feature is currently only available for some users and will be rolled out more widely soon.
