Chrome Updates Accelerated to Every Two Weeks

Google has accelerated its Chrome browser update cycle from four weeks to two weeks. This change is aimed at delivering security patches and feature updates faster to users, reducing the risk of 'N-day' attacks where hackers exploit publicly known bugs before fixes reach users.

The new update pace also aligns with moves by other browsers like Microsoft and Mozilla to enhance security amid rising AI-driven cyber threats. Google plans to continue this faster update pace, including piloting two security releases per week to stay ahead of attackers.
