Cink Wins Fifth Title of Season in Thrilling Playoff Finish
Stewart Cink secured his fifth win of the season in dramatic fashion at the Boeing Classic, defeating Miguel Angel Jiménez in a playoff on the first hole. The 53-year-old carded a closing round of seven-under-par 65 to finish tied for fourth, then birdied the par-five 18th to take home the title.
This win marks Cink's third playoff victory on the PGA TOUR Champions and his ninth overall win in the circuit. He also becomes the first player since Steve Stricker in 2023 to achieve five victories in a single season on the tour.
Cink, who closed with eight birdies against just one bogey, has been on a hot streak all year, winning four times previously this season. His other six victories have come by two or more strokes.
