Circle's Arc Blockchain Launches Amid Mixed Market Signals
Circle's Arc blockchain is set to launch publicly on September 16. The platform has secured the participation of several major financial institutions, including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, and DTCC.
According to a recent update, Circle still generates around 95% of its revenue from reserves, while an expected $180 million in ARC presale revenue will artificially boost profits in 2026. This one-time gain may not translate into long-term benefits for shareholders due to various market factors and regulatory considerations.
The USDC adoption rate remains strong, and Circle's regulatory standing is also favorable. However, the impact of lower interest rates, Coinbase economics, Tether, and potential dilution on shareholder returns cannot be ignored.
