Cisco and IIT Delhi Unveil AI and Cybersecurity Research Hub

Cisco and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have launched a collaborative initiative to advance research, build skills, and strengthen AI and cybersecurity capabilities in India. The Cisco Technology Hub will bring together Cisco's technology expertise and IIT Delhi's academic leadership to foster innovation and enable knowledge exchange.

The partnership aims to become a leading centre for AI and cybersecurity research, innovation, and talent development in the Indo-Pacific region. It will work with government stakeholders to strengthen digital frameworks and security standards while co-creating solutions to real-world challenges for a more resilient digital ecosystem.

IIT Delhi's Dean of Corporate Relations stated that this collaboration 'builds on the Institute's commitment to enable knowledge exchange and co-creation with industry partners.' Cisco India and South Asia President emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between academia, industry, and government in driving innovation across India.

The Technology Hub will support fundamental and applied research in AI and cybersecurity from theoretical foundations to practical applications. It will also provide grants and fellowships for PhD and MTech students, along with a chair of excellence, to advance research projects aligned with the hub's goals.
