Cisco has expanded its partnership with Splunk by integrating Nvidia accelerated computing for on-premises AI workloads. The new offering, Cisco AI Pod for Splunk, is a pre-tested and validated infrastructure stack designed specifically for Splunk's AI capabilities.

Kamal Hathi, SVP and GM of Splunk, emphasized the importance of running AI locally, especially in sensitive environments where data sovereignty is crucial. With this integration, customers can choose from self-hosted models, including the Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4, and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B.

The partnership also includes an Agentic security operations center (SOC) integrated with AWS, allowing security teams to match the speed of AI-driven threats. This collaboration represents a shift towards an agentic operating model for faster security outcomes.
