Cisco Bolsters Identity Management Capabilities with Teleport Partnership
Cisco is expanding its identity management capabilities by teaming up with Teleport, a security vendor that specializes in identity-based infrastructure access management. As part of this partnership, Cisco will start embedding Teleport's technology within its product portfolio.
Teleport's Infrastructure Identity Platform offers unified identity and access management for all components of advanced enterprise infrastructure, including humans, machines, AI agents, and structures. This platform promises access-control support for servers, server clusters, databases, AI agents, and the people running those systems.
Cisco's vice president of product and identity, Matt Caulfield, stated that the company aims to bring infrastructure identity everywhere. He emphasized that non-human identity has always been a problem, but AI agents are now the catalyst to solve it.
