Cisco Bolsters Splunk Partnerships with AWS and Nvidia for AI and Security
Cisco has strengthened its existing partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Nvidia to enhance Splunk's capabilities in artificial intelligence and security operations. This move is aimed at providing customers with more options for running AI workloads on-premises, as well as improving security outcomes through the integration of Splunk's Agentic security operations center (SOC) with AWS.
The company has launched the Cisco AI Pod for Splunk, an AI infrastructure stack that is pre-tested and pre-validated for Splunk AI workloads. This allows customers to run Splunk AI Assistant on-premises, with options for self-hosted models including the Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4, and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B.
The integration of Splunk's Agentic SOC with AWS is designed to combat AI-driven threats by shifting from manual workflows to an agentic operating model. This collaboration aims to provide a unified, intelligent architecture for evolving security challenges, covering detection, security engineering, threat hunting, investigation, response, and governance.
