Cisco Boosts Super Micro Stock With Partnership Deal
Super Micro Computer's stock rallied 9.4% on Tuesday after Cisco announced it would partner with the server maker on liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI solutions.
The move comes as a validation of Super Micro's technology and time-to-market execution, which has been overshadowed by corporate governance concerns in recent months.
These concerns arose from Taiwanese Authorities' indictment of two Super Micro employees for attempting to redirect AI servers to China, in violation of U.S. export restrictions.
Cisco's approval is significant because it adds Super Micro's liquid-cooled Nvidia AI racks to its Secure AI Factory architecture portfolio, which carries a lot of weight in validating Super Micro's technology and compliance bona fides.
