Cisco Brings AI to On-Premises Environments with NVIDIA Partnership
Cisco has expanded Splunk's AI capabilities to on-premises and air-gapped environments through a new infrastructure platform developed in partnership with NVIDIA. This move allows Splunk Enterprise customers to run AI in their own data centers, private clouds, and air-gapped environments instead of sending sensitive information to external cloud services.
The Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA is the latest configuration within this framework, combining Cisco infrastructure, NVIDIA accelerated computing, AI runtime software, and a Kubernetes-based architecture optimized for Splunk AI workloads. This platform enables customers to deploy and manage AI applications on their own trusted infrastructure, addressing concerns around data sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance.
Cisco's Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4, and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B are among the models that will be available for self-hosting on the platform. Tokenomics, a feature designed to track AI token spending in real-time, is also part of this expansion.
