Cisco Commits $100M to Climate Solutions, Reduces Water Withdrawals
Cisco Systems Inc., a leading technology company, has outlined its commitment to building resilient ecosystems and promoting sustainability in a recent report. According to the FY25 Purpose Report, Cisco aims to invest in innovative climate solutions to support communities adapting to climate realities.
The company's philanthropic arm, the Cisco Foundation, has pledged $100 million over 10 years to fund a diverse portfolio of climate solutions. This includes cash grants to nonprofits and impact investments in emerging technology companies that can help further sustainability goals.
Cisco also partners with organizations like the Connected Conservation Foundation (CCF) to equip protected areas with IoT and connectivity tools, helping rangers stop poaching and safeguard wildlife. The company has reduced water withdrawals for its direct operations by 11% and promotes water stewardship across its supply chain.
