Cisco CPO Patel Withholds Shares for Tax Liability on Restricted Stock Units
Cisco Systems' Chief Product Officer Jeetendra I. Patel recently filed a Form 4 with the SEC, revealing that he had to withhold 9,400.369 shares of Cisco common stock on August 10, 2026, to pay tax liability from the partial settlement of two restricted stock unit awards.
The shares were withheld at a price of $121.43 per share, resulting in a total value of $1.14 million. After this transaction, Patel's direct holdings in Cisco common stock stand at 237,763.244 shares, while he also holds 200 shares indirectly through a trust.
These holdings include 2,233.572 dividend equivalents on unvested restricted stock units, each equivalent to one Cisco share. Dividend equivalents are essentially payments tied to employee or contractor equity awards that mirror the cash dividends paid on the company's stock.
