Cisco Expands Splunk AI into Private-Cloud Environments with Token Tracking
Cisco Systems CSCO is pushing Splunk AI deeper into private-cloud environments, targeting enterprises that cannot send sensitive machine data into public AI systems. The networking and cybersecurity company is offering a more controlled path to deploy AI workloads behind their own security boundaries through its available AI POD packages, which combine Cisco infrastructure with Nvidia accelerated computing and Kubernetes software.
Cisco's move gives it two potential revenue streams: selling the infrastructure running agents and controlling what those workloads cost through token tracking capabilities. The latter is an increasingly important problem as companies scale from small AI experiments to fleets of autonomous agents.
