Cisco Stock Rises on AI Growth, but Security Flaw Adds Risk
Cisco Systems stock has been gaining traction, reaching near-record highs around $110 as of September 16, 2026. This surge can be attributed to strong growth in artificial intelligence infrastructure and fresh updates from its partnership with Splunk.
The company unveiled the Cisco AI POD for Splunk at the Splunk .conf event, enabling enterprises to run the Splunk AI Assistant inside private clouds or air-gapped data centers. This innovation provides regulated industries a secure way to deploy AI without moving sensitive workloads into public clouds.
Cisco also broadened its partnership with Nvidia and Amazon Web Services through a multi-year agreement, combining Splunk's security data analytics with AWS cloud infrastructure to help enterprise security operations centers respond faster to cyber threats.
