Cisco Wins Multi-Year Deal with Notre Dame for Campus Network Upgrade

Cisco Systems, the enterprise-networking and cybersecurity giant, has secured a multiyear deal to overhaul connectivity across Notre Dame's athletics facilities and wider campus.

The company will deploy nearly 1,000 Catalyst 9300X switches as part of the rollout, supported by Catalyst Center, ThousandEyes, and Cisco Professional Services.

This deal is significant for Cisco as it provides a prestigious showcase for its full technology stack, potentially opening doors at other universities and large institutions.

Cisco's shares fell about 0.6% to $105.81 on Thursday morning following the announcement, despite the company's credibility being strengthened by the deal.
