Cisco's AI Push Hits a Roadblock as Network Alert Backlog Soars

Cisco Systems, the networking and security company behind CSCO, has reported that enterprises are increasingly relying on AI agents to manage network operations.

A survey of 1,000 technology leaders conducted by Omdia for Cisco found that the average organization experiences around 4,100 monitoring events per day.

Cisco estimates that manually clearing this daily alert backlog would require approximately 100 specialists, highlighting a significant bottleneck in network operations.
