Cisco's Quantum Networking Stack Pairs with Infleqtion's Neutral-Atom Platform
Infleqtion Inc. (NYSE:INFQ) has announced a joint research and development collaboration with Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) to connect and scale quantum systems into distributed networks.
The partnership aims to link Infleqtion's neutral-atom quantum processors and sensors with Cisco's quantum networking stack, allowing for the transition of standalone quantum hardware into scalable, interconnected networks.
According to Pranav Gokhale, Chief Technology Officer at Infleqtion, connecting quantum systems mirrors how the internet emerged from linked classical computers.
The collaboration offers significant strategic validation for Infleqtion, strengthening its commercial investment thesis. However, the company's financial outcome hinges on controlling cash burn through a long R&D cycle.
