Willow Gardens Nursery in Clovis is closing its doors after 52 years of operation. The nursery, which has been passed down through three generations of the DePrima family, has seen significant changes in the area over the years. Danielle DePrima, the president of Willow Gardens, stated that her grandparents founded the business before her father took over.

DePrima's father was seriously injured in a car accident, and she stepped in to continue running the family business 11 years ago. She remembered growing up at the nursery and making memories with her own children.

The decision to close was not solely based on one factor alone. DePrima mentioned that maintaining a property of 17 acres has become increasingly difficult due to competing with large retailers like Lowe's and Home Depot. The family's lease is also coming to an end, making relocation impractical.
