CNBC Experts Pick Top Stocks Amid Earnings Season

On CNBC's 'Halftime Report Final Trades', several experts picked top stocks for their portfolios. Kevin Simpson, founder and CIO of Capital Wealth Planning, chose Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) after the company announced it increased its investment in northwest Louisiana to $18 billion from $12 billion. The expansion includes a third data center campus in Shreveport.

Bryn Talkington, managing partner of Requisite Capital Management, named iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (NASDAQ:IBIT) as her final trade. Liz Thomas, SoFi head of investment strategy, recommended iShares Gold Trust (NYSE:IAU). Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, picked Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT).

Target reported better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter, beating analyst estimates with quarterly earnings of $2.46 per share and sales of $26.539 billion.
