Co-op Teams Up with Coca-Cola and Special Olympics GB for Meals That Matter
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), Co-op, and Special Olympics Great Britain are teaming up to bring back Meals That Matter, a campaign that turns meal deals into donations for inclusive sports programs. This summer, every qualifying Co-op lunchtime meal deal purchased with a 500ml bottle or can of Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, or Diet Coke will donate 5p to Special Olympics GB.
The campaign aims to raise funds for year-round sports programs that benefit over 12,000 athletes with an intellectual disability across England, Scotland, and Wales. This is the second time Meals That Matter has been run, having initially launched in 2025 and raised over £200,000 for Special Olympics GB.
The campaign features four athletes from across Great Britain: Angus Leckonby, Taylor MacKenzie, Ellie-Bea Thomas, and Alex Rae. These athletes will be showcased through in-store materials and digital touchpoints across participating Co-op stores nationwide.
