Coca-Cola Boosts Forecasts on Strong US Sales and World Cup Momentum
Coca-Cola has raised its annual forecasts after exceeding second-quarter estimates due to robust demand in the US for zero-sugar drinks and fairlife milk. The company's revenue rose about 6% to $13.37 billion, beating estimates of $13.16 billion.
The World Cup contributed to volume growth in Coca-Cola's trademark beverages and energy drink Powerade during the quarter ended July 3. As FIFA's long-standing official beverage sponsor, Coca-Cola's campaign for the 2026 World Cup added momentum to its sales.
Raising prices on some products and offering smaller pack sizes helped increase sales, particularly among cost-conscious consumers. The company has also invested in other beverages, including ready-to-drink teas and milk products from fairlife.
Coca-Cola now expects 2026 organic revenue growth of about 5%, up from its prior target of 4- to 5-percentage growth. Comparable earnings per share growth is expected to be around 9-10%.
