Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Relocates from Historic Downtown Spirit Lake Facility
The Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company has announced its plans to relocate from its historic downtown Spirit Lake facility to a newly constructed building at the East Lake Industrial Park. The move is set to take place in November, with all 36 employees transferring to the new location over the course of several weeks.
The current facility on Jackson Avenue and 18th Street has been a staple in downtown Spirit Lake since 1948, but officials say it's no longer meeting their needs. The new site will allow them to modernize operations and better serve their 1,100 customers.
A potential buyer or lessee for the current building is currently being sought by Atlantic Bottling, with negotiations ongoing. Once the move is complete, the company plans to vacate the historic facility.
