He later worked for The Hershey Company as Global Chief Sales Officer and Swire Coca-Cola USA as President and CEO.
Coca-Cola needs someone with Gehring's operational background right now, particularly in managing bottling operations and negotiating with retailers. As CEO of Monster Energy's Americas business, Gehring had experience navigating the tight margins and shifting consumer tastes in the energy drink market.
