Coca-Cola Crushes Magnificent Seven with 64-Year Dividend Streak

Coca-Cola has extended its dividend growth streak to 64 consecutive years, solidifying its position as a Dividend King.

This status, reserved for companies with 50 or more consecutive annual dividend increases, sets Coca-Cola apart from other mature dividend payers that tend to have lower returns.

Contrary to expectations, Coca-Cola's stock has surged by over 25% this year, outperforming the 'Magnificent Seven', a group of faster-growing stocks with yields between 0% and 0.7%.

The beverage giant's dividend yield has compressed to less than 2.5%, mainly due to its rising share price, despite a 4% dividend increase earlier this year.

Coca-Cola's slower growth compared to the Magnificent Seven had led it to underperform in recent years, but the company's strong second-quarter results, with revenue growing 7% and earnings per share increasing 16%, have contributed to its success this year.
