Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines Seeks Clean Water for Filipino Communities
The Philippines is home to an abundance of water sources, but access to clean drinking water remains a challenge for many communities. The Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines (CCFPI) has been working on addressing this issue through community-based water access projects since 2009.
CCFPI's primary water program, Agos, has supported hundreds of water projects across the country, focusing on improving community water access, strengthening water supply for food security and livelihoods, and advancing watershed conservation. These projects have helped to improve the reliability of water sources over time in communities with limited resources.
Under the Safe Water Access pillar, CCFPI works with partners to install and maintain community-based water systems suited to local conditions. Initiatives such as the Ram Pump Project and Gravity-Fed Water System use low-cost technologies to bring water to upland and remote communities without relying on electricity.
