Coca-Cola India Foundation's Anandana has launched an initiative called #MaidaanSaaf to promote responsible waste collection and recycling at large community events. As part of this campaign, they partnered with several organizations to support public infrastructure made from recycled plastic during the Pandharpur Ashadhi Wari 2026.

The event is one of Maharashtra's prominent annual pilgrimages, attracting lakhs of Warkaris who travel in Dindis over several days. Anandana installed 20 women-friendly changing rooms along the riverbed for Warkaris, featuring illustrated walls promoting responsible waste management.

The initiative also included two police watch towers to support crowd management, nearly 2,000 waste bags for plastic waste collection, and 1,000 raincoats distributed to volunteers and police personnel. Additional waste collection infrastructure was deployed across key locations to encourage responsible waste disposal throughout the pilgrimage.
