Coca-Cola HBC Raises Profit Outlook Amid Strong Demand and World Cup Sales
Coca-Cola HBC has raised its profit outlook for 2026 due to strong demand and World Cup-related sales. The company, one of the world's largest bottlers of Coca-Cola products, now expects organic operating profit growth of 8% to 10%. This is up from an earlier forecast of 7% to 10% and above the company-provided consensus estimate of 9.1%. First-half net sales revenue rose 9.6% on an organic basis to €6.23 billion, ahead of the company-provided consensus of €6.15 billion.
The company attributed its strong performance to FIFA World Cup activations across its markets, which generated significant engagement. It also remains confident in its portfolio despite a challenging and unpredictable macroeconomic and geopolitical environment. Coca-Cola HBC operates under a franchise agreement with The Coca-Cola Company and produces and distributes beverages including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, energy drinks, coffee, and sparkling water across 29 countries spanning Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The company also stated that it remains on track to complete its acquisition of its African counterpart during the second half of the year. This move is expected to further expand the company's presence in the region and strengthen its position as a leading beverage bottler.
