Coca-Cola Invests $106M in Louisiana Facility Expansion
Coca-Cola Bottling Company United Inc. is investing $106 million to modernize and expand its Alexandria, Louisiana facility, creating 50 new jobs with an average annual salary of $65,000.
The project will upgrade the warehouse and distribution operations with advanced automation, improving efficiency and order fulfillment, according to Louisiana Economic Development (LED). The expansion is expected to retain 2,120 existing positions and generate 84 indirect jobs in the region, bringing the total employment impact to 134 new jobs. The facility has served Central Louisiana for 120 years.
Coca-Cola UNITED West Region Vice President Scott McCallister said, 'This expansion reflects our long-term commitment to Louisiana, our associates, and our customers.'
The investment package includes workforce development services through LED FastStart and $1 million from the Economic Development Award Program for infrastructure improvements. The project is expected to begin in February 2027, with the expanded operation starting in October 2028.
