Coca-Cola Mulls IPO for Indian Bottling Unit
Coca-Cola is considering a potential initial public offering (IPO) of its Indian bottling unit, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. According to Bloomberg News, the beverage giant may file a draft prospectus in December for the listing, which would involve existing investors selling shares. The IPO could value Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages at approximately $10 billion and raise around $1 billion.
The addition of Axis Capital and IIFL Capital Services to the lineup of banks advising on the transaction has been reported by Bloomberg News. Other banks, including Kotak Mahindra Capital, Citigroup, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley, are also involved in the process.
Discussions remain ongoing, and the timing, valuation, and structure of the offering could change. As a result, investors should be cautious about any potential changes to the IPO plans.
