Coca-Cola Pledges $10 Billion for US Infrastructure Boom
Coca-Cola has announced plans to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure between 2026 and 2030. This investment includes projects previously announced in various states, including California, Colorado, Alabama, and New York. The company's Chief Financial Officer John Murphy noted that the $10 billion figure represents a system-wide total, encompassing spending by Coca-Cola itself and its bottling partners.
The planned infrastructure investments are expected to contribute significantly to the US economy, with the Coca-Cola system already having contributed $85 billion to the country's gross domestic product in one year. Additionally, it supports nearly 1 million jobs.
Coca-Cola also released findings from an independent study, which highlights the company's economic impact on the United States. The study found that the company and its bottling partners spent around $37 billion with US suppliers and contributed $177 million to community programs through the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
