Coca-Cola Scores Big with FIFA Campaign and Patriotic Push
Coca-Cola is having a standout year in 2026, and it's all thanks to its strategic marketing efforts. The brand has been rolling out its FIFA World Cup campaign, 'Uncanned Emotions,' which puts viewers right in the middle of the action.
The spots feature renowned play-by-play announcers Peter Drury for the English version and Luis Omar Tapia for the Spanish, giving the work an urgency that feels more like being at the game than watching a commercial. This is a natural extension for Coca-Cola, which has been a part of football's history since 1950.
The company's in-stadium advertising and official partnership with FIFA date back to 1974, making it one of the longest-running relationships. With the World Cup returning to North American soil for the first time in over 30 years, Coca-Cola is pushing its advantage hard.
In addition to the 'Uncanned Emotions' campaign, Coca-Cola has also partnered with Panini America, FIFA's exclusive sticker and trading card partner, to embed collectible stickers directly into bottle labels. Fans can peel them back, place them in the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Sticker Album, or scan them into the Panini digital app.
The collection features 12 football stars from ten competing nations, including Americans Antonee Robinson and Weston McKennie, Argentina's Lautaro Martínez, and Mexico's Santiago Giménez. This move is a nod to the 50-year-old ritual of collecting stickers, updated for a new generation.
Just as the World Cup campaign gains momentum, Coca-Cola is also making a big splash with its 'Drink In America' initiative. The brand spot anchors a year-long celebration that reimagines the iconic 'I'd like to buy the world a Coke' slogan as a gospel anthem.
