Coca-Cola Stock Hits Decade-High Valuation Amid Exchange-Rate Boost
Coca-Cola's stock has been on a tear, rising by 30.6% over the past year to reach its 52-week high of $88.82 in August 2026.
Despite this growth, analysts are warning that the company's valuation is now at a ten-year high relative to its sales, with a multiple of 7.6 times sales. This is significantly higher than its own historical range of 4.3-7.1 times sales over the past decade.
Part of this growth can be attributed to an exchange-rate swing, rather than actual operational improvements. In fact, management attributes the company's recent earnings growth to both underlying expansion and currency tailwinds.
While the company's unit case volume grew 5% in Q2 2026, its operating income declined in Asia Pacific due to efforts to widen the consumer base across income levels, which is being paid for out of segment profit.
