Coca-Cola Teamsters Expand Strike, Shut Down Ohio Operations

Teamsters at Coca-Cola Consolidated Inc. have extended their unfair labor practice strike to additional company operations in Ohio, shutting down the company's state-wide activities.

The move comes after nearly 50 drivers and merchandisers were forced to go on strike due to management's failure to bargain in good faith over a fair contract with serious offers on wages and affordable healthcare.

'The company has been failing to seriously bargain with our members, and we aren't going to stand for it,' said Jeff Padellaro, Director of the Teamsters Brewery, Bakery, and Soft Drink Conference.
