Coca-Cola is set to enter the prebiotic soda market with a test launch of its signature flavors this fall. The move marks a major entry into one of the fastest-growing categories in the beverage industry, according to the company's vice president, Stacy Jackson.

The new line will be based on the company's existing Coca-Cola Zero offerings and will be available in several flavors. Jackson stated that the goal is to gauge consumer interest and see if they want this product offering from the company.

Coca-Cola has a long history of innovation and taking risks, including its infamous launch of New Coke in 1985, which was met with widespread backlash before being discontinued just 79 days later. The company's commitment to trying new things has led to successful products like Coke Zero.
