Coca-Cola United has expanded its Birmingham operation with a $330 million facility that services six states and 52 sites. The company's history in the city dates back to the early days of its delivery system, which began with horses and wagons.

The new building is located on the former Stockham Valve property and honors the site's past and the people who worked there. A replica of a 1902 delivery wagon from the company's first delivery system greets visitors at the entrance of the facility.

The warehouse inside features a vertical robotic system called Vertique, designed for efficiency and to make employees' work easier without taking away jobs. The three-story atrium is referred to as 'Main Street,' serving as the center of connectivity within the building.
