Coca-Cola Unveils Sweeping Brand Refresh with Classic Swirls
Coca-Cola has announced a significant change to its branding after nearly 50 years. The iconic soda company's new design refresh features a return to the classic swirly logo on cans, which hasn't been seen in nearly a decade.
The redesign is part of Coca-Cola's effort to emphasize its existing branding features, including the bold red and white palette, the uplifting Dynamic Ribbon, and the impactful Arden Square. The new design will feature more red, more white, and more logos on cans, bottles, and in marketing materials.
The biggest change comes to Coca-Cola cans, which are ditching blank space and the horizontal logo for a vertical logo that runs from the bottom to the top of the can. Flavored Cokes, like Cherry or Lemon, will incorporate an image of the flavor into the Coca-Cola logo and feature a colorful word of the flavor underneath.
The redesign also affects Coke Zero products, which are getting a significant overhaul to make them look more like the classic can. Bottles and cans will no longer have black logos or fonts, with cans featuring a black Dynamic Ribbon and bottles having black tops instead of red caps.
