Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is expanding its San Antonio bottling facility to meet increasing demand in South Texas. The Mexico-based company announced a $42 million, 170,000-square-foot expansion that includes new technologies and a second production line.

The expansion will increase the facility's workforce by around 80 employees, bringing the total number of workers at the Eastside facility to approximately 900. Many of these new roles have been filled as the production line prepares for full service.

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages President Susanne Brady-Lusk said the company is committed to investing in the region and has already made significant upgrades in other cities, including Fort Worth, Waco, Houston, and Oklahoma City.
