Cohere Health Leverages Amazon Bedrock AgentCore for Clinical Policy Digitization
Cohere Health is revolutionizing clinical policy digitization using Amazon's Bedrock AgentCore. Prior authorization in healthcare remains one of the most manual processes, with policies trapped in static formats that resist automation.
The challenge lies in transforming these rules into structured, machine-readable data for AI systems to use consistently. Cohere Health built Cohere Policy Studio on top of AgentCore, which provides a multi-tenant isolation and managed agent runtime. This enables the digitization of clinical policies into structured data, reducing operational bottlenecks.
The solution addresses three key challenges: government regulations, such as API-based electronic prior authorization by 2027; AHIP commitments for real-time approvals; and technical architecture demands. Cohere Health deployed AgentCore Runtime with Gateway and Memory to create a unified agentic system.
