Complex and Google Pixel Unveil 'Culture in Focus' Fashion Campaign
Complex and Google Pixel have launched an editorial fashion campaign called 'Culture in Focus' to capture 11 years of style trends. The campaign marks the second phase of their multi-year enterprise partnership, with photographers Dana Scruggs, Justin French, and Campbell Addy each shooting defining style trends from the past decade.
The series begins in 2016 with Aggro Merch and Dadcore and continues through Construction Couture, Vertical Video E-Boy, Lockdown Leisure, Rebirth of Baggy, Workwear Revival, Upscale Streetwear, Y2K, Bedazzled, and Urban Adventurer. The photographers used the new Google Pixel 11's camera and pro features to create fashion-editorial portraits, finishing images with third-party editing software.
The campaign will culminate at ComplexCon's 10th anniversary on October 3 and 4, where dedicated digital boards will display the series, giving festival attendees a physical way to experience it. Select images will also appear on an out-of-home billboard in Los Angeles near the LA Convention Center.
