Conair has expanded its recall of Cuisinart-branded grill brushes to include over 3 million units, federal regulators announced this week. The initial recall in July covered 1.7 million wire bristle grill brushes due to ingestion risks.

The latest expansion brings the total number of recalled brushes to 3,625,800. All Cuisinart-branded wire bristle grill brushes are now included in the recall, regardless of handle material - plastic, steel, or wood.

The affected products were sold between June 2009 and March 2026 at various retailers, including Walmart, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Amazon.com, and Cuisinart.com. Prices ranged from $8 to $20.

There have been at least 54 reports of wire bristles detaching from the brushes, including three cases where consumers swallowed metal bristles and required medical treatment to remove them from their digestive tract or throat.
