Congressman John McGuire (R-Va.) made some interesting stock trades recently, swapping one Magnificent Seven stock for another. According to a disclosure on the Benzinga Government Trades page, McGuire sold $1,000 to $15,000 in Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock on August 18 and simultaneously bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock.

The sale of Apple stock is notable because it occurred two weeks before new CEO John Ternus officially took over. McGuire had previously bought Apple stock on April 15 for between $257.81 and $266.56 per share, selling it at a price range of $305.74 to $311.49, resulting in a profit of between 14.7% and 20.8%.

This transaction is not the only sign that McGuire has a strong interest in technology stocks, as he also owns shares of Meta and Microsoft. Since 2025, McGuire has made only 22 trades worth $176,000, ranking among the lower end of members of Congress who buy and sell stocks.
