Cook's Stock Grants Tie Apple Executive's Pay to Shareholder Returns
Tim Cook, Executive Chair of Apple (AAPL), received two stock grants in September 2026. The first grant consisted of 65,969 restricted stock units (RSUs) and the second was for performance-based RSUs also valued at 65,969 units, reported at target.
The performance-based RSUs are tied to Apple's relative total shareholder return from fiscal 2027 through fiscal 2029. If Apple meets or beats its targets, Cook could receive up to 200% of the target number of RSUs.
The first grant of RSUs will vest in four installments over a four-year period ending October 15, 2030, with 12.5% vesting on April 15, 2027. The performance-based RSUs are scheduled to vest on October 1, 2029, subject to the award agreement.
