CoreView Aims to Close Microsoft 365 Security Gaps with New Intelligence Labs Initiative

CoreView has launched CoreView Intelligence Labs to help security practitioners close gaps in Microsoft 365 security. The new initiative is led by Kasper Lindgaard, a former Secunia Research director and VP of Security Strategy at CoreView.

Lindgaard brings over two decades of Microsoft platform security expertise, having previously led Secunia Research and served as a CISO in highly regulated services environments. He stated that 'Microsoft 365 is incredibly complex, and even experienced teams can get some of the fundamentals wrong.'

Intelligence Labs will publish technical research and practical guidance on Microsoft 365 security. The goal is to help practitioners understand what's happening inside their tenants and provide engineering context on how changes impact their security posture.

The launch of CoreView Intelligence Labs comes as a response to a false sense of security in IT environments, where 62% of IT leaders describe their Microsoft 365 security posture as established or advanced. However, more than half (54%) are missing at least one foundational control, including full MFA coverage for administrators, privileged access management, or configuration tamper detection.

CoreView Intelligence Labs will span practical guidance for Microsoft 365 security and technical analysis of newly disclosed attacks and what they mean for organizations securing their environments. The initiative aims to become the reference point for Microsoft 365 security practitioners.
